Farmers Market

Well, we are now well into our first summer of farmers markets and so far the latest experiment has been a success!

We are selling homemade food at some of our local farmers markets. We use local, seasonal, organic and/or farm-direct ingredients whenever possible.

Come check us out on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm in Merrickville on Main St. W. beside Main Street Family Restaurant and Sundays from 2 to 4pm in Kemptville in the parking lot beside the old fire hall.

Some of what we offer includes:

BAKING

cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting (every week!)
strawberry rhubarb loaves
strawberry summer cake
almost flourless chocolate cake
fruit custard pie and tarts (pear, plum, rhubarb,  peach – by demand)
mini-strawberry brown betty’s
sweet scones

MEALS -TO-GO

pulled pork BBQ sandwich with coleslaw, baked beans and cornbread
seasonal sushi
breakfast sausage sandwiches made with local sausage

DIPS AND SPREADS

regular hummus
carrot cumin hummus
edamame ginger hummus
chipotle yam hummus
black bean dip
tiger dip (layered black bean and chipotle yam dip)
salsa fresca (starting in August)
salsa verde (starting in August)

SALADS

quinoa confetti salad
Alsatian potato salad
Jerusalem artichoke and farro salad
roasted vegetable couscous salad
greek pasta salad

DRINKS

fresh brewed organic iced teas:
raspberry white and green  iced tea
Morrocan mint iced green tea
iced green tea with peach, raspberry or other
Seasonal Fruit Spritzers: Rhubarb, Strawberry, Peach, Pear, Apple
